Marielle Trottier

About.

With over 10 years' experience as a practicing lawyer, Marielle has filled many roles in both the private and public sectors; she has worked as counsel for healthcare institutions, a court, a foundation involved in labor law, a medical professional association, a union of healthcare professionals, numerous public agencies and ministries, and law firms. 

Marielle holds a Master of Law in Health Law and Policy and a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering, after completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences.

Prior to joining BLP Avocats, Marielle honed her expertise in several areas of law such as data privacy and access to information, as well as technology, contracts, employment, immigration, intellectual property, civil and administrative law, making her a versatile lawyer offering her clients a wide range of legal solutions. Marielle has extensive experience representing clients before various administrative and civil tribunals as well as in arbitration, in professional law before professional orders or public bodies, and in investigations such as parliamentary proceedings and local commissions, administrative reviews, complaint reviews and local board hearings.

Marielle has also been involved in numerous transactions, partnerships and international events, such as mergers and transfers between public bodies, commercial transactions such as sales, partnership agreements, service contracts, acquisition contracts, organization of international conferences with risk management, participation in round tables and committees, as well as various large-scale mixed law files, including injunctions in mining law, banking law and commercial franchising.
